Promoting multimodal mobility in Lower Saxony

PRISMA's POI Manager in the moin.mobil app

The Achim and Ottersberg association in Lower Saxony is firmly committed to environmentally friendly, multimodal mobility through the AzweiO project – “App auf’s Rad”. What began in 2020 as the “Mobility Region” funding project is developing into a forward-looking flagship example of how to boost cycling – supported by modern digital tools.

At the heart of the digital component is the moin.mobil app developed by highQ, which was officially launched in mid-April and, as a multimodal routing application, combines information, booking and offers.

To ensure that cyclists, commuters and tourists in the region reach their destinations efficiently, Points Of Interest (POIs) play a central role: They are directly integrated into the routing, making the app a reliable everyday companion – thanks to the POI Manager by PRISMA solutions, which acts as a central hub for location data, structured as usual, efficient and future-proof on the basis of TRAFF-X. In this way, we at PRISMA ensure that digitalisation in mobility is driven forward – and that it is well received!

Anyone who knows us is aware that sustainability and promoting the mobility transition are key priorities for us at PRISMA. As part of the AzweiO project, we are supporting the Achim and Ottersberg Association as a technology partner, helping to demonstrate how digital solutions can sustainably boost cycling and multimodal mobility across a region. The POI Manager forms the reliable backbone for informed, connected and convenient travel!
